Glastonbury Tips 2025
Disclaimer: My website and I are not connected to or have any other commercial or other association with Glastonbury Festival. All advice is based on my own personal experience.
Right, let’s talk Glasto 2025… because I literally can’t wait! I’m SO excited to see Rod Stewart, Alanis Morissette and Busta Rhymes – what a mix, right?! But honestly, the real Glasto magic is all about the unexpected moments: stumbling across a secret DJ set at 2am, hearing a saxophone in the distance and following it to a new favourite artist, or dancing with strangers until your legs give out.
So, don’t over-plan. Of course, we’ve got a few key acts saved in the Glastonbury App (you can share schedules with mates which is so handy!), but we mostly go where the music takes us. If you’re trying to meet up with friends, pick a proper landmark – not a stage because trust me you’ll never find each other. Try The Ribbon Tower, Stone Circle, or The Park sign. And for your own sanity, please download the What3Words app – it pinpoints your exact location within 3 metres. Trust me, it’ll save you from shouting “I’m by the flag with the octopus on it!” into the void.
Last year I put together my ultimate packing list but this year I wanted to give you some fun top tips and a few beauty essentials. So, let’s get into it…
Glamping (and tips from proper campers)
I’ll be honest guys… I’m a glamper. Give me a mirror, a loo, and a hot shower and I’m in my element. But all the regular camping tips below are gold, and they come from friends, family, and my own previous years. So, whether you’re in a fancy bell tent or a tiny pop-up, here’s what you really need to know and some items which will be absolute game changers…
Practical Bits:
Bring a bumbag whuch you can dance with but actually fits your stuff in. Like everyone in the world, I love the Uniglo Round Mini Shoulder Bag. It is compact, comfy, and even fits a water bottle.
An absolute must. Go for one that gives at least 3 charges.
Do not forget multiple charging cables. These Beats ones are great as they are fast charging and tangle-free. The speed of the charge is key when you’re mainly using power banks. On top of that, they come in 4 colours, so you’ll always know which one is yours.
Sticking with hydration. Get yourself some electrolytes. Perfect for making sure you’re hydrated throughout the day but trust me, these will help you get up and out the next day if you’ve had one too many drinks the night before. These ones from LiquidIV are my favourite at the moment. Be warned, they’re quite strong so I recommend doing half a sachet at a time.
Festival Beauty Essentials:
Would I be me if I didn’t include a list of makeup and skin saviours?! This is everything you need for your makeup bag which you’ll actually use over the weekend.
UPDATE-All glitter has been banned at Glasto but wanted to keep this brand here as it’s lovely. I came across this brand when looking for some biodegradable festival glitter (great branding as they came up first!). If you’re going makeup free but still want a festival look, bring a load of these and some trusty Vaseline for applying. Because glitter is never a bad idea.
Speaking of… you know me. I never recommend makeup wipes because they’re often stripping on the skin. However, when you’re camping at a festival, sometimes it’s a needs must situation and it is always better to remove your makeup. These are some of the best wipes I have found as they’re infused with coconut oil and they’re suitable for sensitive skin. If possible, get yourself to the toilet block and wash your face with a balm cleanser. If not, these are a great bet.
SPF!
Finally, but most importantly. If you only pack one beauty thing, please let it be suncream. You know I don’t mess around with sun protection. Head to my blog for my full SPF Edit, including the best for face, body and lips.
Style:
My Glasto uniform is simple: Denim shorts + walking boots (cool girl vibes, comfy and mud-proof) + vintage band tees (I’ll be repping Rod and Alanis this year!). And pack something fun/statement. For me this year, it is my Coca-Cola dungarees – a Vinted find that brings me so much joy.
Throughout the festival, swap your top to change the vibe, throw a light jacket in your bag for after-dark dancing, and don’t forget a waterproof – even if it looks sunny.
Hair-wise? Keep it up. It gets humid and sweaty and all kinds of wild. I love a good plait, topknot, or a hat.
Lastly, here’s a quick list of things everyone forgets (but you won’t!):
· Earplugs – sleep saviours.
· Sleep mask – the sun rises early, and most tents are not blackout lined.
· Disposable camera You will not regret it!
· Toilet roll – because there’s never enough in the loos.
· SNACKS – cereal bars, crisps, Haribo. There’s some amazing food trucks at Glasto but trust me if you’re in the middle of a set with an amazing view – you will not want to move.
· Portable fan – extra but amazing.
Ok, One last thing…
Please, please find one of the Glasto postcard stands and send a card. It’s a tradition I love – we write one to ourselves and one to our mates as a little thank-you-for-being-fabulous memento. It’s the cutest.
So, there you have it. Pack smart, don’t stress, follow the music, wear all the glitter and I’ll see you at the Ribbon Tower. I’ll be the one in the Coca-Cola dungarees, marg in hand and dancing away!
Love,
Lisa xx
