My 5 Faves of The Month - May

Hold onto your contour brushes, friends, because we're about to dive headfirst into a whirlwind of fabulousness! Welcome to my monthly extravaganza of beauty, fashion, and homeware wonders that have made my heart skip a beat and my credit card give me the side-eye. If you're ready for a rollercoaster ride through the realm of my latest obsessions, then buckle up and get ready to swoon. Trust me, by the time we're done here, you'll be convinced that my love for these products is only rivalled by my epic dolphin impression. So grab a cup of coffee – or champs, I’m not judging – and let's dive into the wonderful world of my monthly faves.

I swear I’ve been looking for a beautiful, waterproof, can-stay-out-all-season parasol for about three years. And nope, I still haven’t conquered my mission. What I have done though, is find a beautiful but bloody expensive base. Is it worth it? I mean I’m still to decide but if you see it on @LPDathome any time soon, you’ll know the answer.

Oooo I love a good plant pot. And these are beauties! My friend Laura sent them to me knowing I would be immediately drawn in by the emerald green version. She wasn’t wrong. It’s in my basket and I’m about to click “take me to payment”

The rest of this post will be dedicated to Arket. Because when the hell did they start rocking the homeware world?! I walked into the Regent street branch last week and had taken approximately 22 pics of things I loved within the first five minutes, these towels included. Like how has this happened? Who cares, I’m here for it!

For me it’s all about drinking my morning coffee out of a handless cup. Why? I have no idea. But what’s the point in asking questions when you can find crockery as beautiful as this. And £9 a cup? That’s cheaper than two frothy oat milk lattes.

It’s a serving plate basically shaped as one of the poppies I’ve proudly grown this year. So whether this is “in memory of” coz they might never grow back, or an “OMG this plate looks like that field of poppies you’ve got in your garden” kinda vibe, I know it needs to be in my collection.

I’m going to see Elton John’s last ever gig at Glastonbury. I needed these. The end.

Talking of Glasto. I’m sleeping in a tent with three people that snore. This mask blocks out light and sound. Genius. Will it block out the sound of 200’000 party people. Probs not, but it’s worth a try.

Before Glasto is Ibiza and these WNU sets are the dream. Beautiful fabric, lightweight, dreamy colours. It’s the co-ord that you never knew you needed but that you’ll never take off.

Ok I’m just giving a shout out to the Gold label at TKmaxx. You know how much I adore a good treasure hunt here. But my peak find was conquered this week with a pair of glittery Victoria Beckham heels I’ve been searching for about 18 months! And there they were, on the shelf of the Oxford Street store. In my size, reduced from £850 to £150!!!! What a joy

Guys, I think I’ve found the perfect weekend bag. This camo bag from the small British business Marloe is perfection. Not only is it a great size, it has a zip which I find is really hard to find in a canvas weekend bag. On top of that it can be personalised AND the colours and prints are fab. Now to book (another) weekend in Ibiza….

This is one of those products that I buy every holiday, and I never regret it. Lancaster is an iconic heritage brand that makes fantastic products. But this is my fave. It’s basically a soothing after-sun that helps your tan last through its magic ingredients. And it really works.

Finally UV have bought out an SPF face mist…wooohooo! I adore this brand and this was needed. You can spritz it under and over makeup, the mist is super fine meaning it won’t ruin your perfectly blended smokey eye, and the packaging is vibrant and gives the immediate feel that summer is just around the corner.

VB beauty can do no wrong in my eyes and they just keep upping their game. These brow pencils are a welcome addition to their collection. The tip is angled and super-fine meaning you can create precise, hair-like strokes. And there’s a great shade range. I do think they could do with a black and a grey shade but I’m sure that’s on route.

The viral hype is real on these babies. They leave you with juicy, hydrated looking lips without the stick. And they come in at about £7 which is pretty damn good if you ask me.

I’m including all of these fragrances because I just couldn’t pick. This is a limited-edition collection inspired by Misty moors, heather-clad hills and ancient castles reclaimed by nature. Not only is each scent stunning, (Wild Achillea just pips the number one spot for me) but the bottles are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen in the fragrance world. These are well worth a sniff.

This month has been a treasure trove of beauty, fashion, and homeware delights. As we head into June (and summer, whoohoo!) I can, with absolute certainty, say that the hunt is on for the next wave of discoveries and the opportunity to share them with you. Until then, stay fabulous, hydrated and SPF’d.

Love Lisa xx
