Unlocking Beauty's Swiss Army Knife: My Top 10 Multi-Tasking Marvels

Whoever said you can't have your cake and eat it too clearly never met the multitasking marvels of the beauty world. In a universe where one product can play the role of many, this week I am here to spill the secrets of multi-use beauty products that will have you wondering why everything in life can't be this efficient. Get ready to simplify your routine and maximise your glam!

Lipstick:

Let us start here as this is a simple one. A lipstick is perfect to use as a blusher too. Once applied to your lips, pat a blush brush onto your lips and dust on onto your cheeks. Alternatively, use your fingers to apply to cheeks and blend. This creates the perfect pop of colour to match your lips.

My ride-or-die favourite, an absolute must. Chanel Baume Essential is like a glow-in-a-stick genie. Cheeks, eyes, lips – it's an illumination intervention. Collarbones and legs' centre stage? Yes, please. Swipe, blend, and voilà – dewy, radiant skin. Sculpted for a shimmer dance, Golden for a bronzed sunbeam.

The OG multitasker that's armed with 88 tricks up its sleeve. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: brows to burns to lips. It's the magic potion for countless dilemmas. Fly-aways, chapped lips, the works – it's a cream of endless stories.

When the name is the game, you know you've struck gold. This product can be used for cheeks, lips and eyes. Under or over foundation or even under powder blush to create a more intense colour.  The texture is stunning – velvety yet dewy. A true makeup bag staple.

Take a bow, for the star of the show – Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. A formula so rare, even other formulas envy. Makeup's little black dress – it complements, contrasts, and simply shines. Under, over, mixed – it's an encore of glamour. The only thing I wish is that they made a giant bottle!

Did you know that this product was created for a stripper's nipples in 1976?! Well, it was so yep, you can even use it there! But apart from your nips, this is a brilliant lip and cheek tint that adds the perfect flush of colour. Imagine walking in from a cold day with beautiful rosy cheeks, that’s the vibe. And that’s why it's in most makeup artists' bags. Nips to lips… what a ring to it, hey?

You know I love this product, it's one of the only brow gels that holds my coarse brows in place. But did you know that it's also amazing for holding down fly-aways on your hair, or for creating the perfect edges? The mascara wand-type brush helps you do this with ease.

The small wonder that's big on impact – Tower 28 Super Dew. A balm that doesn't know boundaries. Where dew is desired, it delivers. It sits well over liquid and powder makeup and is transparent which is perfect if you’re not into shimmer. I also love it over the top of a powder shadow to create a beautiful glossy eye.

Introducing Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base: moisturiser, primer, and magic in a single act. Hyaluronic acid, Shea Butter, Vitamins B5, C, and E – it's the power-packed prelude to makeup artistry. Smooth canvas, radiant skin – it's a backstage pass to perfection. It's one of those products that you can’t stop using once you’ve tried it.

Brace for brilliance. This is a glittery oil that you can use on your face, body and even in your hair! This is a cult fave for a reason. Firstly, it smells like a summer’s day, and who doesn’t want to imagine themselves on a beach when it’s pouring outside? Secondly, it's full of a ton of nourishing ingredients that nourish, repair and soften, with shimmering mineral particles illuminating skin and hair with a satin-like sheen. What's not to love? It's also non-greasy and light-note. So, use to it as a hair mask or as your everyday body moisturiser, or blend a few drops into your moisturiser or foundation to add a healthy glow. And you can even pat it over makeup to highlight. Just wow.

I think a standing ovation is in order for these multitasking maestros. These really are the beauty equivalent of a Swiss Army knife. Thanks to lipsticks that double as blushers and brow gels that keep fly-aways at bay, you can kiss cluttered countertops goodbye. Because everyone needs space for a glass of champs while getting ready.

Love,

Lisa xx
