My Swimsuit Edit: The Styles I’m Loving This Summer

I am swimsuit-obsessed. Like, I’ll wear swimmers for no real reason just because I find them comfortable. (Does that make me a mermaid?! I hope so…) However, finding a swimsuit that makes me feel confident can sometimes feel harder than finding the perfect pair of jeans… or finding a needle in a haystack. I want something that fits beautifully, feels comfortable, supports where I need it to and, most importantly, makes me feel good the second I put it on.

Over the years I've tried a lot of swimwear and, while trends come and go, I've learnt that the pieces I reach for time and time again are the ones that combine a great fit with effortless style.

So, whether you're heading off on a sunshine-filled holiday, planning a staycation, or simply updating your swimwear drawer, here are the pieces currently sitting at the top of my wishlist (and in some cases, already packed in my suitcase).

My Forever Favourite: Skims

Let's start with a brand that, in my opinion, absolutely nails swimwear: Skims.

The fit, the quality, the fabric, the way everything feels secure without feeling restrictive… I genuinely think Skims suits are some of the best swimsuits I've ever owned. They smooth in all the right places, hold their shape and manage to feel both supportive and comfortable.

SKIMS | Scoop Neck

If you're looking for a classic one-piece that never dates, this is it. The scoop neckline is flattering without being too revealing and the silhouette is simple and chic.

A little more fashion-forward but still incredibly wearable. The contrast trim gives it a luxe, sporty feel, while the snap-front detail adds just enough interest.

This is the perfect swimsuit for anyone who loves a minimalist look. The low back feels elegant and elevated, making it perfect for poolside lunches that inevitably turn into sunset drinks.

High Street Heroes

You don't need to spend a fortune to find good swimsuits, and M&S proves this.

M&S | Broderie Trim Plunge Swimsuit

This feels far more expensive than its price tag suggests. The broderie detailing adds a feminine touch while the plunge neckline keeps it modern and flattering.

If you're after something timeless, this monochrome style is a winner. The tummy-control fabric makes me feel confident while the clean design keeps it looking effortlessly chic.

Crinkle fabrics are having a major moment, and this striped version feels fresh and modern. It's comfortable, flattering and so easy to wear.

The beaded details give this a luxe holiday feel, which is perfect for those who love classic-looking swimwear with a subtle touch of glamour.

Animal print never goes out of style. This swimsuit strikes the perfect balance between statement-making and sophisticated.

For The Fashion Lovers

Sometimes you want a swimsuit that feels less practical and more "main character energy".

Never Fully Dressed | Black Palm Embroidered Bandeau Swimsuit

The embroidery on this is beautiful: it's playful, distinctive and feels like the kind of piece you'll receive compliments on all holiday long.

Zimmermann always nails luxury holiday dressing. This piece is elegant, feminine and feels incredibly special.

Minimalists, this one's for you! Clean lines, beautiful colours and an understated elegance that makes it incredibly versatile.

Colour Lovers, Rejoice

I know many of us default to black swimwear, but some of the most flattering pieces I've found are the ones that embrace colour.

Hunza G | Square Neck Swim

Hunza G remains one of the most comfortable swimwear brands out there. Their signature crinkle fabric works beautifully across different body shapes, and this vibrant orange shade feels like sunshine in swimsuit form.

If you're a bikini fan, this metallic chocolate shade is absolutely stunning. Chic, flattering and surprisingly versatile.

Boden always delivers when it comes to joyful prints, and this tropical-inspired design instantly puts me in holiday mode.

Great Finds From ASOS

ASOS is one of my favourite places for discovering affordable swimwear gems, particularly if I’m looking for different cuts, fuller-bust options or trend-led styles.

ASOS | Design Fuller Bust Carrie Plunge Lace up Swimsuit

Designed specifically for fuller busts, this style offers support without compromising on style.

A brilliant option if you want something playful and modern. The cut-out detailing creates shape while still feeling wearable and secure.

I love the lime shade and chain details here. It's bold, fun and perfect for anyone wanting a statement swimsuit.

The perfect blend of fashion and function. The ribbed texture feels elevated while the shapewear design provides subtle support.

If I had to choose just one brand from this entire edit, it would be Skims every single time. The fit is exceptional, the styles are timeless and they're the swimsuits I consistently reach for year after year.

That said, there are some incredible options on the high street right now – particularly from M&S. Ultimately, the best swimsuit isn't the trendiest one or the most expensive one. It's the one that makes you feel confident enough to stop worrying about what you're wearing and start enjoying your holiday.
